Progress Report on the new Edmark Industries GMP Factory Construction

When Madam Karen Hee, our Managing Director walked into our final tender interview with the shortlisted main contractor for the new factory, she had one thing set in her mind: "The main contractor must complete the physical structure of the factory in 100 days starting from December 16, 2008." Indeed, the last site meeting progress report shows that they are 3% ahead of schedule. Syabas, Malaysia Boleh! (Malaysia Can !).

The whole project, when completed will consist of Block A (a three storey office block complete with an 800-seater column-free convention hall on the top floor, followed by Edmark Industries office on the first floor, and our Edmark Malaysia MLM will start operations at the ground floor.

A new three storey purpose-built Block B, will house our state of the art GMP and ISO 22000 certified Food Cleanroom Production facility. At the time of writing, the stage of construction has progressed to the second floor of the new Block B food Cleanroom.
Block C is dedicated as a huge warehouse for our finished Food products. We are now ready for Africa and the United States!

The Plastics and General Products Division will be housed at the huge Block D, which may eventually see us expanding downstream into the printing and laminating of aluminium foil to produce for our in house packaging of food products into sachets. There is enough room for expansion into other upstream and downstream activities to synergize with our present and future products and markets.
God has blessed us in Malaysia with abundant rain fall throughout the year. Being grateful for the abundance, we have designed our factory roof to harvest and collect all the rain water and channel it into two large underground water tanks that comes complete with filtration sytem and pumps. It will distribute the filtered rain water to flush all the toilets, water all the plants and greens and to effectively keep all the drains in clean condition.

The top of the icing is our well guided design by our energy consultant to tap the blessings from the Sun. All our warehouse, plastics and general products division will enjoy the natural light from the Sun from approximately 8AM to 6PM daily without switching on the lights. We are so blessed and very grateful for the abundance that the universe has provided.
